In 1989, Alan
L. Kramer established Kramer Executive Resources, Inc., a
retained executive search firm and human resources consulting organization. As a Certified Public Accountant and former Human Resources Partner in one of the world’s leading accounting and professional services firms, he is well equipped to help companies identify and attract the best talent for both their current and future challenges.
He spent more than twenty years in the public accounting profession, initially serving clients across a range of diverse industries. Later, Alan was asked to apply his client service insights to Human Resource roles, where he managed recruiting and handled significant human resource issues for nearly ten years. During that time, he effectively identified internal needs across a wide range of roles and levels, and successfully recruited people to fill them. His growing reputation caused his firm’s clients to turn to him for assistance in recruiting candidates for their own financial positions.
Alan went on to serve as the National Human Resources Partner for Spicer & Oppenheim, at the time the twelfth-largest public accounting firm in the world. He served as chairman for many New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants conferences, and was an active participant on numerous managing partner committees. He led many seminars on effective recruiting techniques for in-house staff and clients.
Before joining Spicer & Oppenheim, Alan was Director of Recruitment as well as Human Resources Director for Touche Ross & Co. (now Deloitte). He was also a Senior Audit Manager of KPMG.
